Writer's Block - June 1st

Today marks the 40th post of this daily journey that I have been on. It's amazing that 40 days have past since I started trying to catalogue something new that I was learning each day. I've also had almost 1000 page views since my first post. That's pretty amazing to me.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope that I can continue to inspire more and more people to learn something new each day. A few weeks ago, I set a goal of reaching 1000 page views, now I am almost there (in fact, I hope to be there in just a couple of days).
Like I've mentioned before, it is sometimes difficult to pick one thing to write about each day. I think this is for several reasons.
  1. I am learning so much each day that choosing just one thing to write about is difficult.
  2. Most nights I don't sit down to write this post until late at night after all the kids are in bed... this means that I am exhausted and mentally drained (trying to think about what to write is a little more difficult at this time)
  3. I often get stuck...... like right now... what do I write next.
So I did what I usually do, I went out on the web and started looking for some help. There is a great variety of advice for overcoming writer's block. Some authors suggest that you put down what you're working on for a few days and then come back to it with fresh eyes (not really an option for me since I'm trying to get new content out every day).

Most authors suggest that you simply start to write something. By writing something you get the creative juices flowing and eventually you can get the content that you want to keep.

How do you overcome writer's block? (leave me a comment)

Lesson Learned: If you get stuck in a writer's block... just write something.
