I usually wake up between 5:15-5:30am and get to the gym by about 6:00am. Today was no different.
My plan was to spend 18 minutes on the Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer and then get into my chest/back workout. I had an intense chest and back workout planned using the Dramatic Transformation Principal (DTP).
On my very first set of chest press, I started to feel some pain in my rotator cuff (shoulder) area. At first, I thought about just pushing through, after all, I had 9 more sets to go (250 reps). I started my second set, and it quickly became apparent to me that if I kept going I could really hurt myself.
My next thought was that maybe I should quit. "Oh well...come back tomorrow and work on something else," I thought to myself. Instead of giving up, however, I decided to simply change directions. I took my frustration over the pain in my shoulder and went back over to the Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer

By switching directions, I was able to have a fantastic workout on the elliptical. I was even able to workout my chest some by using an Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer that has moving arms
Lesson learned: Don't give up. Even if you have to switch tracks, you can still get great benefit as long as you don't give up. The new track may even be of greater benefit than the first one.
